★★★★☆ In Life in the Negative World, Aaron Renn provides a guide for evangelical Christians living in a society that sees Christianity negatively by default. All American Christians would benefit from reading and discussing this book.

In his book Life in the Negative World (2024) Aaron Renn helpfully divides recent history into three periods with regard to the relationship between Christianity and the broader culture: the positive world (1964-1994), the neutral world (1994-2014), and the negative world (2014-present). In the negative world in which we now find ourselves, the broader culture is negative by default toward Christians. Renn helps us to think through a number of implications for life in this new world. In this article I walk through some specific implications for parenting in the negative world.
